For over 30 years, Kosher Theatresports has delighted audiences with its bold mix of Jewish wit, comic chaos and spontaneous stage magic.
From its roots in the 1990s Sydney Jewish Arts Festival to sell-out shows and celebrity guests, Kosher Theatresports has become a cultural phenomenon.
A new generation of Jewish comedians took to the stage at the Bondi Pavilion for two nights only (Sunday 31 August and Thursday 4 September 2025) and provided lots of laughs for the audience .
6 teams battled it out for improvised comedy glory with “Shmux in Tux” retaining their status as all-time champions – winning both nights to claim the Ronit Ovah Cup (and the Hamsa Cup on night 2).
“Macbeth-Din” placed second on both nights with their star performer Toffee Foltyn winning Player of the Season and winning two nights accommodation in a TFE hotel of his choice. Beau Glass of “Yids These Days” was named Rookie of the Season and won kosher dinner for two at Shaffa’s restaurant in Surry Hills. Jesse Barel won Moment of the Match for physically becoming a suitcase on a rotating baggage carousel in one of the funniest moments of two very funny nights.
Night 1:
1. Shmux in Tux
2. Macbeth-Din
3. 50 Shades Oy Vey!
4. Shake it Like a Lulav
5. Lucky They Have a Day Job
6. Yids These Days

1.Shmux in Tux
2. Macbeth-Din
3. Yids These Days
4. 50 Shades Oy Vey!

These were very successful nights, and the hope is that Kosher Theatresports will come back again next year at the Bondi Pav.
