

In Carol Dance’s new play SEED HUNTERS, Bob is a student ijn Peking. China is opening to the world, post Mao, and international students have arrived. When a beautiful South American student attempts to seduce him and he encounters the ‘seed hunters’ movement. Then in 2025 in Sydney Bob discovers that his niece is a seed hunter, one of many from around the world.

What is going to happen when the families get involved and the matriarchal grandmother speaks her mind?
Dance’s play features a cast of eleven, directed by Melissa Paris, a graduate of Wollongong Universiy’s Creative Arts program.
The play is being performed in the heritage performance space of the Pitt Street Uniting Church, 264 Pitt Street, Sydney. The venue is close to the corner of Pitt and Park street, and is very close to Town Hall train station, Gadigal Metro stop, the light rail and many bus routes.
Performance times are Friday October 17 at 7.30pm, Saturday October 18 at 6.30pm, Sunday October 19 at 5.30pm, Friday October 24 at 7.30pm, Saturday October 25 at 5.30pm and Sunday October 26 at 2.30pm.
