black rainbow : a solo exhibition by harrison earl @ m2 gallery

The mind of Harrison Earl is a manifestation of adolescent hobbies. Comic book artists and characters, heroes, heroines and villains from decade-past anime and a fair share of 90’s alternative rock music provide the context for the surrealist art of Harrison Earl.

BLACK RAINBOW is an artistic dichotomy of the human form. The title of the project encapsulates each piece within the exhibition; the idea of opposition and contrast through a dreamlike vision. Through this, a singular recurring character will travel within artworks telling an interconnected, subjective story throughout the various dream states.

BLACK RAINBOW forms a loose narrative, akin to a flashing series of hallucinations shrouded in obscurity, with recurring, out-of-this-world motifs. It is an exhibition unlike anything he has painted before.

Harrison Earl’s exhibition opens on Thursday, June 8th between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm.

The exhibition will be on display between the 9th and the 20th June.
