breaking bread : jews and arabs uniting over their shared love of food

This very positive documentary follows a group of chefs who take part in a unique food festival in the Israeli city of Haifa.

The feel-good and appetising message of the film is clear: Jews and Arabs should unite over their shared love of food rather than fighting.

Featuring freshly chopped Israeli/Arab salad, exquisite mussakhan (Palestinian roast chicken) and kreplach (Jewish dumplings) made to perfection, BREAKING BREAD is a film about hope, collaboration and exotic fare.

Is peace in the Middle East possible? Documentaries such as this show it is eminently possible. Many Jews and Arabs live well together and have done so for a very long time. If only we could get rid of the extremist ratbags who will do  everything in their power to ensure there won’t be a lasting peace, wrecking it for everybody. If only we could annihilate them!

BREAKING BREAD opens in cinemas  this Thursday June 3.2021.
