Political parodies, sex therapy and a million wig changes is just a regular night on Catherine & Friends, and the team are back to do it all again tomorrow.

Joining Catherine Alcorn tomorrow is singer/actor/presenter Erika Heynatz, musical theatre and cabaret star Tom Sharah andsinger/actor/model Matt Evans. Aussie drag royalty, Verushka Darling will be there and standing by to take your texts.

CATHERINE AND FRIENDS debuted online on Friday 16thJuly to rave reviews.  The show is presented as part of the 2021 Melbourne Digital Concert Hall (MDCH) series.  Born in the middle of Australia’s Covid pandemic in 2020 and at a time when the Australian Arts and entertainment completely shut down, the MDCH presented over 233 digital concerts raising over $1.4 million in revenue to support the Australian musicians and arts sector. Now, as NSW finds itself in what is predicted to be a long lockdown period, MDCH brings their digital live-streaming platform to Sydney. 100% of ticket sales goes directly to the artists and musicians on stage, supporting them in their greatest time of need.

Catherine Alcorn is a multi award-winning artist, producer, Artistic Director and one of Australia’s most in-demand entertainers. She wowed the world with her award winning show ‘The Divine Miss Bette’ and is no stranger to live-streaming having conceived and delivered ‘The Reservoir Room’ during Australia’s first lockdown of 2020 keeping over 45 of Sydney’s Arts and Entertainment industry employed. 

Erika Heynatz has become one of Australia’s most popular personalities and in-demand performers.  Her TV credits include Channel 7’s Habitus House of the Year and Home & Away, SBS’ The Family Law, TEN’s Celebrity Name Game and was initially a winning contestant on It Takes Two (CH7). On stage, Erika originated the role of Brooke Wyndham in the Australian national tour of Legally Blonde(2012). Her performance won her BWW’s Best Featured Actress in a Musical as well as a nomination for Best Supporting Actress In A Musicalat the Helpmann Awards.  

Tom Sharah won the prestigious Australian Cabaret Showcase in 2009 and subsequently toured his one-man shows Que Sera Sharah, It’s Raining Me and That 90’s Show to sell-out theatre and festival seasons all around Australia. After coming to wider national attention as a star finalist on Channel Ten’s I Will Survive, he became a regular segment presenter on Channel Nine’s Mornings. Tom’s musical theatre credits include the Australian tours of Shrek, Muriel’s Wedding and Priscilla Queen of the Desert. He was most recently seen in American Psycho at Sydney Opera House. 

Matt Evans is a Musician, Actor and model, acquiring his ethnically ambiguous looks from his English and Seychellois heritage. Born and raised in Western Australia, Matt made a natural transition from high school to the world renowned West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) where Matt completed a four-year Bachelor of Contemporary Music in Voice. At 23, feeling like his artistic career was not progressing, Matt took a leap of faith and auditioned for hit TV series ‘THE VOICE’ where he made it to the top 20 where his popularity in the public eye began.
