The Jetpack Theatre Collective is marking the end of another year of great improvised comedy with its own spontaneous theatre Festival.
Each night during the short season the Company will present a return of its popular On The Spot Musical show as well as a special guest/celebrity show.
On the Spot Musical was a hit last year at the Hayes Theatre. Bryce Halliday, Jim Fishwick and their cast of improvisers come together to present the next great Australian musical.
The Collective advises that what the musical is about comes down to entirely one’s own interpretation. What the guys do is squeeze as many Broadway tunes as possible into an hour of stage time, as melody lines, plot lines and punchlines weave in and out of each other.
It sounds like a hoot. The Jetpack Spontaneous Theatre Festival is playing the Old 505 Theatre, 5 Eliza Street, Newtown from the 15th to the 19th December. Performance time 7.30pm. Bookings- http://www.trybooking.com/JSRT.
