leading sydney art galleries reopen in june

The Director of the Art Gallery of New South Wales Michael Brand has announced that the Gallery will reopen on Monday the 1st of June together with the Brett Whiteley Studio in Surry Hills.

Visitors will be able to see the 22nd Sydney Biennale of Sydney – NIRIN as well as three exhibitions; Shadow Catchers’,’Under The Stars’ and ‘Some Mysterious Places’, the latter having been curated by the Director.

Shortly thereafter it is anticipated that there will be an announcement of the new dates for the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes 2020 to be held later in the year.

The online initiatives collected under the umbrella title ‘Together In Art’ will. continue.

The Director of the MCA Elizabeth Ann Macgregor announced that the MCA will reopen on Tuesday the 16th June 2020.
