Award winning photographer Lilli Waters is unveiling her stunning new work Anthropocene, The Age of Humans in a brand-new virtual exhibition via Curatorial & Co from 9th June.

At the beginning of the year, Waters packed her 4WD with props and bags of fabric from ops shops and travelled with her muse in search of breathtaking landscapes. With limited options due the raging fires they like many explorers before them set upon Grampain Ranges in search of water.

Within the unpredictability of nature Anthropocene was born. The eerie post-apocalyptic photographic works draw inspiration from the Garden of Eden. Working on the raw images in isolation at the beginning of the uncertainly of pandemic after capturing the images after the direct aftermath of the bushfires made for darker images that captured fear and grief along with feminine power.
