In this intense two day workshop students will learn how to create a realistic facial portrait from the life model.

Day one focuses on constructing a tonal underpainting, rendering a good foundation to build your portrait, strengthening your observational skills.

Day two focuses on how to set out a basic oil colour palette for mixing skin tones, fine tuning colour observation skills and completing a portrait painting study using oils.
