SHIR MADNESS – the annual Sydney Jewish Music Festival – is a one-day music Festival showcasing and celebrating the very best of Jewish music and Jewish performers from Sydney, regional NSW, interstate and overseas. Now in its third year, the Festival will take place this Sunday at the Bondi Pavilion and will feature over 30 quality acts on 5 stages over 9 hours, running between 1pm and 10pm.
The Festival will feature music across the spectrum including Yiddish, Klezmer, Ladino, Sephardic, Israeli, classical, folk, jazz, blues, rock, pop, world, reggae, electronic and hip-hop genres. As well there will be a major art exhibition, crafts, food and drink and stalls of all descriptions.
The line-up will include Joshua Nelson (US) Nathan Kaye, Rapskallion, Simon Tedeschi, Adam Katz, Baby et Lulu Mzaza, Keyim Ba, star of The Voice, Ben Goldstein as well as returning favourites Deborah Conway and Tinpan Orange and a whole lot more.
