The Party is directed by Sally Potter and features perhaps the greatest British ensemble of all time, headed by Kristin Scott Thomas, Patricia Clarkson and Timothy Spall. It’s very punchy, very political, very intellectual and the cast shine in their most comedic roles of their careers. It conveys sharp and timely commentary about politics, feminism, long-term relationships, same-sex families and human behaviour through fast-paced comedic dialogue.
