the tempest @ star of the sea at manly

Point Break Theatre Co. magnificently presents their new Shakespeare Event in clever modern dress, with their huge and very accomplished cast, always on a minimalist set. Modern revolvers used to replace swords. William Shakespeare’s THE TEMPEST is a full length production with very few (if any) changes to the Bard’s words. The text is complimented by well-chosen modern songs, and some cute and interesting costume choices.

The play opens on a ship at sea during a tempest. Then the entire crew and passengers all arrive safely on a remote island, where Prospero lives with daughter Miranda, plus the two servants Caliban and Ariel. Whilst every performance by every actor is a standout, special mention is made for Prospero, Miranda and Ariel.

Skilful direction with panache by Blair Cutting and Paul Winchester.

Standout performances from the entire cast, truely make this Shakespeare event a absolute must see. Highly Recommended.

This wonderful William Shakespeare play, had a fully appreciative audience. Best experience ever, to watch THE TEMPEST with a quite huge audience of mostly teenage girls. THE BARD was intending to initially show, lustful tenderness or perhaps lustful fondness. The audience enjoyed each and every affectionate lustful kiss within THE TEMPEST , as an opportunity to giggle very loudly.
