In its Australian debut, THREE THE HARD WAY (1992) is an undiscovered gem of feminist theatre.
It masterfully and wryly explores impacts of childhood trauma; grief and loss on a family system; gambling addiction; and isolation, especially among older women.
Free Range Theatre was drawn to the playwright, Linda Eisenstein, an activist and feminist, who states, “women’s issues, our problems out in the world, our tangled connections, our inner yearnings: those are of most immediate interest to me”.
This hilarious and touching performance is not to be missed.
