The Genesian Theatre Company is currently performing a season of ‘the family favourite, ‘Wind in the Willows. Director Rebekah Jennings has chosen to use Alan Bennett’s adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s popular tale about riverbank animals.
Roger Gimblett played the Toad who finds himself in prison but manages to escape but not before Toad Hall, his pride and joy, has been take over by the chief weasel (played by Scott Fenson) and his colleagues. Thanks to the efforts of his kind and concerned friends, including Badger (Timothy Bennett) and Mole (Tom Massey), all ends happily when, after an exciting battle, Toad regains his home.
Rebekkah Jennings and her actors put together a fun, lighthearted production of the classic novel which audiences enjoyed. Owen Gimblett designed the set, and Michael J Schell did the lights.
