BLANC DE BLANC ENCORE was shut down mid term at its residency at the Studio at the Sydney Opera House when Covid struck, closing all theatres.

With the opening of BLANC DE BLANC ENCORE there occurred two resurrections. The Giant Dwarf Theatre, threatened at some time with demolition or alienation from theatre groups, the venue has transformed into the Grand Electric due to financial injection by the Strut and Fret Company which also produced the show.

Although it is billed as an Encore performance, its Creative Director Scott Maidment, said the circus, cabaret and burlesque show is vastly different to the show that was playing at the Sydney Opera House in 2019.

This is due to the fact that many of the performers sought work elsewhere with the result that new performers were hired. They brought with them unique and speclalised talents which the show utilised to create the 2023 reincarnation.

Please note that to access the Grand Electric Theatre you must walk up a side passage at 199 Cleveland Street, Redfern.

BLANC DE BLANC ENCORE is playing the Grand Electric Theatre, 199 Cleveland Street, Redfern until 4 March 2023. Performance times Wednesday, Thursday, Friday at 7pm, Saturdays 4.30pm and 8pm and Sundays at 3.30om and 7pm. Tickets from $70.
